THE VAMPIRE DIARIES SEASON 6 – NEWS and SPOILER
Fans of The Vampire Diaries should prepare themselves for the premiere episode of Season 6, seeing as it will be a major tearjerker. The series is set to return to CW in the Fall.
Director Jeffrey hunt announced on Twitter that “#TVD fans episode 601 is going to take you on an emotional roller coaster you may not be ready for. Suggest you start preparing now.”
THE CW’S 2014/2015 NEW SHOWS
The four first-year series ordered for The CW’s 2014-15 season are detailed below.
DRAMA
The Flash – Tuesdays at 8p 
The CW’s most-anticipated newcomer this year—filling the Tuesday 8p timeslot graciously vacated by ABC’s Agents of SHIELD next season (when that show moves back an hour)—is a spin-off from Arrow and will be one of three DC Comics-based shows on the network next season. (Maybe a name change to The DCW is in order?) After appearing on a few episodes of Arrow last season, Grant Gustin (Glee,90210) stars in The Flash as forensic scientist turned costumed crimefighter Barry Allen, who is the fastest man alive thanks to a freak accident. The cast also includes Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order), Tom Cavanagh (Ed), and John Wesley Shipp, who starred in the title role in CBS’sshort-lived 1990 version of The Flash. Arrow producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg (though not Marc Guggenheim) will produce this new show as well, along with Arrow writer Geoff Johns. Expect Arrow‘s Stephen Amell to appear in the first episode.
UPFRONT 2014/2015 – THE CW
The suddenly stable CW has ordered just four new shows for next season: three dramas (including Arrow spinoff The Flash, and Rob Thomas’s iZombie) and one comedy. That’s a low number even by CW standards.
